Yes, that was my logic behind the question. Despite the supposed rivalry between those who study STEM and those who study the arts, I've always seen that they have significant overlap.
I've seen the studies about how learning an instrument improves cognition. Though I imagine theres similar effects from the visual arts like drawing and painting as well.
