you can't socialise normally for the 21st-century-western-societal-standards-of-'normal'. this means the other people in the office are going out of their way to do extra things to accommodate you, it's like an overhead, it's also draining at times.
and i've known plenty of autistic people who were good at the on-a-computer part of their job. but at some point, no, you can't just sit in the corner with headphones. people will require things of you. or you will have to work with others.
