What's not necessary is allowing people to spread disease, procreate haphazardly, devalue sex and rape God's will for the same reasons they'd go to the movies or visit a theme park; things they could still do in a world where casual sex is illegal btw. I'm not saying we should make everything that isn't necessary illegal, just that we should treat sex with the respect it deserves.
>the "sanctity of marriage" means less these days than ever with sky high divorce rates anyway.
I also think we should make divorce illegal and provide free marriage counseling resources for those who seek it but that's a different discussion for a different day. Either way, in a world where casual sex is fully illegal, I think divorce rates would decrease because you couldn't just leave your spouse and go have sex with anyone you want.
>nobody would be scared because it's unenforceable
No it's not? It would be very easy to mandate that medical professionals report unmarried sex and conduct sting operations on Tinder. Would be cheap too.
If there's even a 1 in 4 chance the woman you're talking to over the internet with intent to defile was actually a cop who'd put you away for 5 years and get you registered as a sex offender in your state, you'd think twice before continuing to send her profane or obscene messages.
