She was lying. She had multiple guys talking to her and decided there's better than you. Yes, they are that demonic. I had something similar happen to me.

Ask her to show you her DMs, check if she has alts, If she likes you, she will appease you. If she's a demon, she will gaslight you in many possible ways. Be warned, if it's discord she WILL close chats and use other underhandded tactics so you have to do it by surprise. "can you stream desktop to me?" Response such as:

Don't ever buy into the whole reddit omg privacy, only cheaters are not okay with the "loved ones" looking at their accounts. It's common knowledge women are liars and cheaters, so they should be expected to have 0 privacy.
