Longer than I would expect too and I think I have a similar set of issues. Even when I absolutely need to be alone I can still make the effort and let people know I'm alive and how I'm doing. Not to be overly harsh, but I think what he's doing is very selfish. Maybe he can't help it, but I suspect that he can.
