Sliwa is basically an independent candidate in all but name. He fucking hates Cuomo and is running just to spite him. Especially since Cuomo is running as an independent after he already lost the primary, because he has that much of an ego that he thought he could force Sliwa to drop out and get a do-over.
They(((GOP and Dems))) already paid off Eric Adams by offering him a pardon in exchange for dropping out. Sliwa doesn't have any leverage they can use to force him to drop out.
