I'm not the roommate obviously, but in my experiences, the anger is due to a specific thing done, and moving out only solidifies it.
They're not upset at you for existing in their space, but at actions X or Y, and moving out with addressing those actions will lend them to settle their mind on "wow, so they would rather move out and leave rather than repair this issue between us, I see how it is".
It's not like you're some autist who can't resist clapping their hands and belly laughing while watching magical girl anime at 3am.
