I get it. You're laissez-faire fundamentally. I have many friends and colleagues who agree with your position, mostly in the US. And you're right that we're unlikely to find middle ground.
Have you considered moving somewhere where that kind of government exists? I can agree that places like that are excellent to live in, if you're well off.
