I'm not entirely surprised, there are still some young and dumb blue collar types who do the same thing. Either a truck or some awful sports/muscle car.
Side story: my grandmother has bought GM exclusively for the last fifty or so years. She had to take in her 2024 Buick because the turbo charger on the engine failed. The car has 27K miles. If it wasn't a lease, and under warranty, it would have been $1.5-2K USD. That's the norm here. Nothing but shit boxes.
