>We worked our arses off for ourselves
>We want to enjoy the fruits of our labour
Imagine having no love for your children or care for their future. But even putting that terminally selfish mentality aside productivity over the years has increased whilst wages have proportionally stagnated, and in Australia's case actually dropped, and the costing of housing and living has increased tenfold beyond inflation.
People are working as hard as ever, or even harder, but the rewards for their labour simply are not proportional to what they were twenty years ago and it's not even close to thirty and beyond.
You will have multiple generations simply checking out completely because the labour that purchased a home and supported a family in the past can barely subsist the lifestyle of an independent renter and in some cases can't even do that.
