Aren't England doing the exact opposite? Overlooking line and length aficionados (e.g., Sam Cook) for bowlsmen with raw pace but less talent (e.g., Josh Tongue)
Another example is former Pear Mitch Stanley, who's been in the England development set-up for years despite never actually getting good figures in any professional game, purely because he can bowl at 90mph+
Was talking to some coaches about it, and the thinking is that it's easier for a raw paceman to be trained on accuracy than it is for a line and length merchant to be trained on pace
