That's sort of what I tried, but trapped LBW both times
Possibly didn't move my feet enough thoughever, could be a bit more ballsy and fully step across the stumps to make it a proper leg side shot
Have considered taking a leg stump guard and opening up a bit more space on off though, that feels a bit lower risk
