Now that I've woken, its time to explain what I was talking about yesterday.
Was watching some podcast ranking top 10 players last night and Curry was ranked 12th.
And Lebron was ranked 2nd, and 1st by many (They were collecting multiple different ranking from different people and aggregating them).
And the thing I noticed is...Curry gets so many insane taxes. Like "System Baby", "Playing with one of best shooters", "Having Iguadola", "SuperTeam" and personally the most extreme and egregious of all "Draymond Merchant" where somebody on that podcast tried imply with the argument that because Curry "plays offball" without Draymond that he would be shit or whatever. And absolutely nobody questioned the argument.
Then we move on to the Lebron part of the podcast. Everybody is making excuses for his finals record, calling it disingenuous, deliberately cutting out 07 and 08 from his prime. Skimming over 2011, and I shit you not, word for word, a person on the podcast said "2015 Lebron isnt Lebron James, be Jebron Lames" as a joke to essentially say that doesnt count as an indictment on him.
And then everybody went around and took turns glazing him and his playoff numbers.
And at that moment I couldn't finish the podcast because I had to think to myself...
"Am I insane?"
I personally cannot see Curry and Lebron being SOOOOO far apart, but for a number of people this is clearly normal, and for whatever reason, it is more acceptable to tax and diminish curry.
So my thought was that I wish Curry had to go to the finals without KD. So that if Curry never won a ring again, I dont ever have to hear Draymond overhyping again, and dont have to feel crazy for thinking Curry is great because his success would reflect that hes not that great.
And maybe then I could understand how Lebron is so great because hed have more chips than losses.
I just want the insanity to end at this point. I wish I didnt feel I have to think Curry is great.
