I know, I live in B*rra. Hotels are marginally better in terms of cost/benefit and "Barra is safer" became a thing in travel websites apparently. But I don't see the point in staying here instead of going to the real Rio. If you just want a calm beach vacation, there are cheaper and better options than Barra.
