In northern Scandinavia there's a "well known" shamanic practice/technique of stopping bleeding wounds, called "stämma blod".
Depending on the shaman it's done in close proximity of the person in need or it can be done over long distances, even on the other side of the world I'd assume, as long as there's some sort of connection.
Typically it's passed from like from father/grandfather to son/grandson. But some will take it to the grave if they don't have a suitable heir they can trust to use it wisely.
There's been cases of small regional hospitals contacting healers if they have had problematic wounds that won't stop bleeding
