The list is full of problems. One of the reasons for this is because Beveridge has a lot of control over list management.
Beveridge always insists on recruiting players out of Footscray because he has this vision that they must be the ultimate VFL team that all unpicked players strive to play for. Then he rewards those players with selection, and it's always the same type of player: short, slow guys who can't kick, but work hard. Beveridge is especially fond of this type of player because they remind him of himself as a player.
