Disagree. He moved off of the old Chad Morris offense they lived in forever when he hired Garrett Riley. I think bringing in Tom Allen was a shot at trying to bring back the defensive creativity they had with Venables.
Dabo used the transfer portal this year, too.

It was a gamble, for sure. Had to look like a way safer bet when DeBoer's offense was lighting up a Texas defense that shut Bama down (at home) back in 2023.
