concede it was predictable post 2007-2008 and especially once leach was out of texas tech. it was basically oklahoma every year who would make ny6 or playoffs, get btfo, rinse and repeat. there was drama sometimes with kstate baylor tcu but with texas being down the entire time it was just OU. but that's my point nebraska would have also been a foil at least sometimes whereas with the b1g they have never been anything but a footnote and their much heralded arrival in the west has been a massive dud.
remains to be seen what rhule can do, I personally don't think they can ever get back to what they were, and I also think it was unavoidable just from the direction college football went in regardless of the moves they made. I just think they could have delayed mediocrity that's all
