He had a lousy college career but teams invite a ton of guys to camp. With him it would have solely been as a project: he played most of his college years looking like Big Daddy V from ECW, but if he loses some of the weight then maybe he'll be good enough to use as a situational run-stuffing nose tackle.
An undrafted guy from my podunk town (WR, small, average stats, bad program) got an invite ~ten years ago and honestly bringing in fatty probably had more upside. Cool that someone whose family I know got to play in a preseason game or two though
