Question for /hoc/ anons who have had to move to a new city with a new NHL team in the life:
How do you determine who you support?
I grew up a fan of team A, surrounded by people I could talk to about team A, turn on the radio and listen to sports talk about team A, and walk into any bar and watch the game.
Now I live in city B, and all of the above now applies to them. And I realize how much a part of my enjoyment of being a fan of team A was that I was in a world of team A. And now my fandom of A has diminished as I am no longer in the same kind of environment, but at the same time, I feel like an outsider to team B and can't imagine ditching my loyalty to team A altogether. But I want to be in the hockey life of my new city too, and I want to buy season tickets, but I just feel so fake an conflicted. I am very lost. How do people in similar situations navigate this?
