It'll be 10 years at least before they're a decent team again. There's just too many fundamental flaws for one manager to fix in 1-2 seasons. I think they'll become a bit like Tottenham. They'll accidentally fall into the Champions League occasionally, maybe they'll have a great season where they finish 2nd, but I really can't envisage them ever returning to their 90s-00s dominance unless City and Chelsea are flung into lower-league oblivion by their blatant FFP breeches, Arteta dies of hair-dye seeping into his blood, and Liverpool have a modern day Munich Disaster
