Yes hopefully we'll bring in some new talent, but it’ll prove difficult. Emery has done well keeping us in the mix so far, though I suspect it won't last without reinforcements. Elliott will return to Liverpool in Jan since he hasn’t been making the matchday squad. We didn’t expect Buendia to perform so well, and Elliott’s loan includes a clause that would require us to buy him after ten appearances, so it would be foolish to trigger it when he supposedly isn't rated. The Elliott money should ideally go toward signing a young striker. However, Emery will probably try again to sign that jobber Paqueta, who was his top target in the summer. The previous Sporting Director signed Elliott instead, which led to his departure a few weeks later. Hopefully, our new Sporting Director will use his scouting network in Brazil to find affordable talent, since our finances are still limited.
