the weird thing is that the fluff text of the unit mentions them getting crossbows
one possibility is that they're not including the sprue of crossbows with the kit as included in the battalion box and will only include the crossbows sprue with the standalone release of the kit way down the line, like they're doing with the big saturnine dreadnought for horus heresy, one sprue of its weapons aren't in the bundle box but will be in the later standalone release
and if cathay is truly getting a second arcane journal later this year, and miao ying is delayed until then, then perhaps the standalone release of the jade warriors and their profile with crossbows will too
