Conversely, if you want to make a theme function in a color identity that doesn’t have a dedicated commander for it, people will now accuse you of building “goodstuff” and say that you’ve lost the spirit of the format. The overly specialized legendaries we get now might have lowered the floor on being able to build some decks, but they’ve created weird social stigmas about doing things any other way.
