I honestly like Requiem, but it cut too much of what I liked about Masquerade, and it wasn't very well handled at first. I think the best choice is to introduce an open ended, metaplot free Masquerade. Which is sorta what V20 was, and V20 was a resounding success. People like having the big things they can point to, jump off from, or amend, but they don't like being overly restricted.
