In weeb fiction, I've seen the trope that knowing someone's exact tastes (favorite fruit, favorite animal, favorite color) will somehow make them love you. In fact, knowing these things is almost a secret backdoor to penetrating all the target's mental defenses, so it's not information you can learn by just asking them, you probably have to spy on them or something silly like that.
I can't imagine that applying in real life at all, but it probably fits her.
