>"never use sources made by people foreign to a culture because they'll always misunderstand it"
I always find this funny because one of the best TTRPGs based on my country were made by foreigners who loved my culture and researched a lot and consulting with people from my country who studied our own culture. Just because you were born into a culture, does not mean you know and understand everything about it. If someone paid me to do a TTRPG based in my country, I would have to study just as much as the foreigners who created those games. The only advantage I have is communication and how to cross a street during red light.
>someone who's claim to legitimacy is partly them being a 4th and 5th generation Japanese and Chinese immigrant (See: an American)
Ah, yeah. It's always one of those diasporic motherfuckers who think they're just as asian as those who were born and raised in the country. I always laugh at them when they discover they're mistreated when going to those countries.
Like some africans say to afroamericans: "Your ancestors were weak, that's why they left, while mine were strong and decided to stay".
