Thailand has some nice cheap condos for rent, especially in Pattaya/Jomtien. AFAIK you have to sign up for your own internet service. If you're talking something like AirBnB then you get to pay the AirBnB tax.
I remember a thread here about either Laos or Cambodia that showed some seriously nice apartments with pool and all that stuff for only about $400/month. IIRC the anon said he got it through AirBnB.
