I really only stopped in Paramaribo. One tourist street, a few landmarks, bars, markets and casinos. Kind of ghetto, but nothing will happen unless you are a complete fool. Interesting mix of people speaking dutch, taki taki and their indian dialect, met some interesting characters. Good vibes and nice food overall though. I didn't hear there was much to do outside the city, and I didn't see much of the nature stuff either, but I don't think there's anything in SR you can't find in more interesting countries in the Amazon. Check it out if you're passing through or know someone there, but I wouldn't go out of my way for it.
