People forget this because she hates troons, but she's the original wokester retard, turning characters black and gay and whatever else for points to make sure everyone knows she's with it and supports the current thing. She wrote the books at a time when she was living in a White country, and it's obvious from that alone that the majority of the school and cast are White, which is why anytime a non appears in the books they are specifically described as such because its such an out of the ordinary, unexpected thing against the norm. Now that the UK is filled with nons, it is taboo to acknowledge this is new and not how things always were, so of course she can't acknowledge it now. She lost a lot of credit in that circle because of troons but she still wants to be in it.
