Once you give in it just encourages people, especially people with dark triad traits, that if you morally extort a certain kind of way by playing victim, you will give in, which encourages more behavior like that.

Remember trigger warnings? They were huge at on epoint in the 00's and then they tried to have them implemented in schools and law school. The staff fought back, and they lost. Studies showed they didn't even work. Then trigger warnings mostly just vanished into the aether, as they found more things to whine about (implying the goal was to just whine and self-aggrandize than actually fixing anything). There's an endless amount of complaints, especially when they are built upon emotional reactions. Something will always be generated if they need it.
