You're wilfully missing the point that with your own parliament you have (a least in theory) more control over what happens in your country than you do over a distant international bodies that don't give the slightest shit about your country.
Leaving the EU was never supposed to be on its own, enough to fix Britain's problems. It was/is one necessary part of a larger and more difficult project to make the British government more accurately reflect the democratic will of the British people. Leaving the EU was the easy part.
Long term I want to see the EU replaced by a new model of European cooperation. Not an "ever closer Union" but a limited project of genuinely sovereign nation-states.
