Why can't they just make a TV you can purchase without BBC channels. All TV is fucking shit anyway. It's like BBC Radio, the licence gives them the option of playing music 24/7 without any ads because that's what it pays for and yet BBC Radio is probably the most talked radio in the UK. The only time you would ever watch BBC is likely for World Cup or Olympics etc.
