They'll admit that it's the fault of anything except the truth: "Popular Culture arbitrarily changed, specifically by becoming more hypersensitive"
They instead argue from a position of Eternal Presentism, insisting that the morality has ALWAYS been the same ("it was wrong then and it's wrong now", when it clearly wasn't "wrong" then) and prostrating themselves for their supposed willful defiance of morals they supposedly knew but defied anyway.
