Something important to get is that the Jews who founded Hollywood were first generation immigrants and were paranoid about getting pogromed again. They tried to hide their Jewishness and fit in with whites. Some of their kids didn't even know that THEY were Jewish until they were adults. Second generation went full like same way all self hating second generation immigrants do. Check out the doc An Empire of Our Own about Jews in early Hollywood, it's very illuminating.
