It's pretty barebones looking back at it:
>Penguin wants to take over the city with Shrek, they try to frame Batman and he stops it
Was kinda expecting more desu. The pacing is rather dull which contrasts with Nolan. The Dark Knight has a lot of momentum making it easily re watchable and there are enough twists making it a treat for first time viewing.
The best part of Returns, however, as that this was like the only Batman film that has any libido and sensuality. Anne Hathaway just feels so sterile, Rachel is a non entity and Reeves Batman is just so boring and sexless besides that one scene where Battinson is adjusting Catwoman's contact lens. The mistletoe scene is perfect and I can't see it being topped any time soon especially since we're getting another Reeves snorefest in 2027. I don't get why writers can't just take inspiration for BTAS. That was perfect in how Batman's sensuality should be portrayed. Like a Pilgrim in a Gothic world full of temptresses. He is the object of affection and lust just as much as the women but of course Bats is a Chad who walks right over them for the most part. That Roxy Rocket episode, Harley's Holiday, Holiday Knights and others were Batman is chained up or fucking seducing a Cheetah-woman hybrid
