I would recommend Space Station 14 for a better Star Trek experience.
Actually are apart of a multiplayer crew. But it is more like DS9 since it is a station. You have chain of command. Officers. Departments. You can even be a chef.
STO may look shiny, but SS14 gives something closer to the DS9 experience.
