No, this is two layers of stupid. Looking the part is part of the part, it's why people like Christian Bale have gotten so much praise for changing their body for different roles, because people understand the value of looking like the character. It's why you don't hire Daniel Day Lewis to play Hermione despite being an actor of much greater 'skill' than Emma Watson.
It also just never fucking happens that the ethnic diversity hire is some tour de force of acting greatness, they're exactly what you'd expect, a mediocre brown person who's there to look brown. Half the time they aren't even acting, it's just rapper black air dropped into medieval settings, the black knight but played straight. Then you get this horde of retards who stay stuck in the bargaining phase all their life
