At the end of the day she's right, and the idea that Yamada ignores her is true. She didn't just miss one race, she's been ghosting her on plenty of small things because of her work and gardening. Yamada is not perfect she needed Kase to show her what it felt like to be ignored otherwise she would continue to focus everything on her goals instead of their goals.
Sure, you could argue that Kase went a little too far with her confidence she would win, but it's not like that's enough to make her the villain.
