I wonder if it's a natural development.
In the first chapter the high school crush looks like a non-character without even a face and all the story has been about the other five girls except for that one chapter. Including the boyfriend that turned out to be a fake one, it feels like the story has been changed later on, maybe because Tamamushi didn't know who to choose among the five senses girls.
