Look one square below. The mantle's the boss fight. The hint is that there's a way off the railroad if you beat both the Weird and Sword Routes - there's turnoffs after Spamton NEO and the Mantle fights back to the canon railroad timeline.
After you beat chapter 6 and the world ends, you need to go back to chapter 3 and do something different in between completing Sword Route and fighting the Knight.
