Proper positioning is entirely gone because now you can hold the FOCUS MODE™ button and your character will just turn around to hit where you're facing at all times even if you're mid combo or mid swing.
They have completely and utterly demolished the last foundation of satisfying combat the series had with this change, and in a series that was all about having satisfying combat as its base appeal, it now has nothing.
