I don't get you. ZX is utterly confusing the entire way through, and even when you get used to it, you still have to slog through so much bullshit. It's like the devs thought the point of the Metroidvania formula is to add padding. Even the final level feels like that because of the slow-ass elevators setting the pace.

ZXA is weird, and not everything landed right, but nothing overstays its welcome, either. It's like the first MMZ game that way.
