actually that was kind of the concept behind my "Legend of Codsworth" mod that I never completed or released, where after returning from Concord with the Minutemen, you find your previously ruined home completely rebuilt and looking as good as new
Codsworth: Oh, good day, sir! I hope you don't mind me doing a bit of cleaning and renovating while you were away!
Garvey: Holy... THIS is your house? It looks like stuff I've only seen in archives!
Sturges: Who cares about the house, look at that Fusion Beetle station wagon! It's in mint condition!
>Codsworth... when.. how?
Codsworth: Well, of course a proper General Atomics International robot isn't going to let a little thing like nuclear war stop him from gathering the resources to rebuild quickly, once there's reason to! I do apologize again for the dreadful condition things were in before, though. Had I known you were about to arrive, I would certainly have had it all ready earlier.
>But why didn't you maintain it before?
Cogsworth: Well, when I said the past 200 years have been uneventful, I may have understated the situation a tad. Truth be told, it rather quickly became clear that having the only properly maintained house in the tri-state area was practically a beacon to raiders and assorted n'er-do-wells, including one group that was somehow in control of a pair of those super mutant behemoths! It shames me to say, but they were actually able to drive me from your property, for a time.
