It is neither better than OoT nor is it universally hated. It's a decent follow up to OoT but marries MM and OoT while missing out on standing out. If the combat system was a little more in depth, literally just a reason to use any of the awesome moves besides the darknuts and dorf, it'd stand out among the best Zeldas.
