You pretty much just chill at the wall until you pass it organically. It might take a while but it will happen. The resources you accumulate while waiting aren't wasted. You're effectively still leveling up your characters once you hit the wall, you'll just get the results all at once when you pass the wall.

Amass as much core dust as you can. Event challenges (highest difficulty you can manage) and event stage 11 repeated 5x per day. Its the main bottleneck after you get past the wall.
If you can farm yellow manufacturer gears or rocks from intercept prior to the wall (its been a while I don't remember) then getting those for all your main characters is a good investment.
And if you aren't in a union try and find one (even if its just some randoms). You'll get the cube stuff from union raids much more than solo raids (which is more for dolls)

The game isn't so sweaty that it really matters, and afaik it routinely recalibrates groupings if you even care about the competitive modes.
