That's the question, no modder so far have tried to do this.
An lcd panel comes with a range of specs and "modes" that you could use but Nintendo choose not to use an "overdrive" mode that would waste more energy but have less ghosting. Of course for a system wich only last 2-3 hours choosing a little bit battery life over something you barely notice is a comprehensible choice.
