Not exactly, but a lot of my taste in music was formed by the shit I watched and played as a kid. My Spotify is filled with shit from Guitar Hero and Rock Band, Tony Hawk, a lot of punk rock/alt rock, 70s-90s, etc. You don't HAVE to tell people where you get your taste in music from even if they can guess pretty easily.
