BB > DS3 > DS1 > ER > DeS > DS2
That's the order I played and DS2 is last because I trusted everyone who said it was shit but guess what. My ranking is actually in exact release order. DS2 is only hated because people had very high expectations because of DS1 and DS2 failed to live up to that but in it's place you still have a fun adventure game that actually tries to give the player something interesting and tries to innovate or expand upon systems, some of them are interesting, some of them suck but i'd rather it try to do different things than directly copy DS1 and that's exactly why DS3 is so dogshit, it's a game that's run out of ideas while simultaneously trying to push the series more into "action" territory while completely failing at making the combat more complex or interesting for the player itself
