Do you actually use GoG? Because I have and consumer friendly is not what I'd call it. The positive is that the games are DRM free (though they did try to slip one game with always online DRM on it, so I don't know if that's still the case), but there are severe issues that fuck with the consumer experience. For example, I could not play my GoG copy of Frostpunk. Why? I idk. It just didn't work. (I haven't tried it on Linux, maybe it works now)
Another example: A game I like got a new DLC, it was released on GoG much later than Steam.
Another example: For several months the GoG galaxy client didn't run at all for me making it impossible to install games because of the following example:
The GoG offline installer you would use in lieu of GoG Galaxy is dogshit and checks your C:\ drive on Windows for disk space, even if you intend to install the game on Z:\ drive.

GoG really needs to be improved to be an useful alternative for Steam. They don't have a Linux client either. Not that I care since Heroic works, but still that's definitely not ideal.
